Uganda gold regulations
Gold dealing and export in Uganda are governed by the Mining and Minerals Act 2022 and the Mining and Minerals (Licensing) Regulations 2023. Some widely repeated rules, including a reported requirement that gold be refined to 99.9% before export and the current royalty rate, could not be confirmed from an official text. This section shows the status of each rule separately.
